PDT officially thanks PDM-H staff for their commitment and professionalism following the earthquake
On Thursday 23 September, the Director of Human Resources, Bill Jeffrey, brought the staff of PDM-H together to congratulate and thank them for their hard work and dedication to PDT during particularly difficult conditions following the 12 January 2010 earthquake.
Mr Jeffrey presented a plaque to each of the fifteen employees who were working for PDT during the earthquake. In addition, a letter expressing gratitude and thanks was also presented to each of these employees which was signed by Mr Scott Gilmore, the Executive Director of PDT.
The plaques and letters were just a small way in which the leadership of PDT recognizes the sacrifices which its employees made to return to work only days after the devastating earthquake. Despite the fact that some of these employees had their homes partially destroyed and that they were sleeping in tents, there was no hesitation to continuing coming to work or to temporary premises.
“The dedication and professionalism of the staff was exemplary within PDT” said Mr Jeffrey. “It is an honor and a pleasure for me to represent PDT and to offer our thanks to the staff today. Ensuring the continuation of the PDM-H mission during the post-earthquake period was particularly brave and exemplary. In my view, our staff in Haiti are extremely committed to PDT’s mission and I have never seen this outside of PDT”.

PDT remercie officiellement les employés de PDM-H pour leur investissement et leur professionnalisme après le séïsme !
Jeudi 23 septembre Bill Jeffrey, le Responsable des Ressources Humaines de PDT présent en Haïti, a réuni les employés de PDM-H et prononcé un discours pour les féliciter et les remercier de leur implication au sein de PDT dans les conditions particulièrement difficiles suite au séïsme du 12 janvier 2010.
Des plaques gravées aux noms des 15 employés qui étaient présents lors du 12 janvier, ont été distribuées à chacun, ainsi qu’une lettre de reconnaissance et de remerciement signée de la main de Scott Gilmore, le Directeur Exécutif de Peace Dividend Trust.
C’est en ce sens toute l’organisation de PDT qui reconnait les sacrifices que les employés ont fait pour venir travailler quelques jours seulement après le séïsme, certains ayant leur maison en partie détruite et dormant sous des tentes, ils ont sans hésiter continué de venir au travail ou dans des locaux de substitution.
‘’ L’investissement et le professionnalisme des employés à été exemplaire au sein de PDT’’ a déclaré Bill. C’est pour moi un honneur et un plaisir de représenter PDT et de les remercier aujourd’hui. Le maintien du travail dans les conditions post-séisme a été particulièrement courageux et exemplaire. Personnellement je trouve que les employés sont très investis dans la mission de PDT, et je n’ai jamais vu cela ailleurs qu’à PDT.’’
